Since the 1st Tibetan Newspaper, “Tibetan Freedom” published in 1962, there is not a single Tibetan news style-book published. Therefore the Association of Tibetan Journalists feel responsible to publish a style-book in Tibetan Language primarily focused on Print and Radio Journalism.
The ATJ style-book will focus on the AP style-book for print and BBC style-book for radio with keeping in mind the Tibetan context. Although this Style-book will not be a mandatory requirement for a Tibetan Journalist but it will always serve as a guideline and in time hopefully it will be accepted more universally.
